- Teamcenter 2412 Installation Essentials Series: Learn how to install a single box instance of Teamcenter and Active Workspace.
In this series, the instructor begins by reviewing the virtual machine; with an emphasis on prerequisite software and tasks required to setup the server for Teamcenter installation, a review of other prerequisites that need to be installed, and an overview of the file structure of the machine. The series progresses to installing the remaining prerequisite software required by Teamcenter. This includes the Database (Oracle). MS SQL is spoken to in the demonstration and information is provided regarding that installation as well. In this demonstration, the instructor multitasks to complete several required/recommended Teamcenter prerequisites. The instructor installs the Oracle Listener, Oracle Database using Siemens provided templates, installs the Siemens Help Server and Teamcenter 2412 Documentation, and installs Deployment Center. In the next segment, the instructor provides a walkthrough of the Deployment Center UI and demonstrates building and deploying a fully defined Teamcenter Installation, including Active Workspace, Visualization, Indexing, Rich Client, Business Modeler IDE, Dispatcher and a lot of extra features that come with the base license. In the final part of the series, the instructor reviews the results of the deployment. The instructor will test/troubleshoot the Teamcenter Installation and ensure all features are accounted for. This course provides an introduction to the Active Workspace Client application. The goal of the course is to provide an introductory exploration of the Active Workspace Client, capabilities, and core actions required to work effectively in the client. Attendees learn how to login, navigate, position windows, organize using folders and favorites, create and edit data, understand the relations behind data, example and work with structural and visualization data, and interact with workflows to sign off on tasks.
