This course is designed to provide an introduction installing Teamcenter 2406 using the newest installation tool; Deployment Center. The content in this course includes an introduction to Teamcenter and Active Workspace installation processes, tools used, hardware and certifications resources, downloading media, and understanding the architecture behind Teamcenter and Active Workspace. The course includes installing Rich Clients, Business Modeler IDE's, the Active Workspace Client and Server features, Microservices and the Gateway, and more! In the course, attendees get a guided demonstration on installing the prerequisite software for Teamcenter including Databases, Licensing software, 3rd party recommended tools. The course then proceeds into Deployment Center concepts, installing Deployment Center and building an environment. Attendees will learn how to deploy the environment using Deployment Center utilities and explore common errors and troubleshooting techniques along the way. The instructor will create scenarios and troubleshoot them in the demonstration and perform maintenance activities such as updating an environment with changes to the original install. This course is recorded at version Teamcenter 2406, though most concepts and techniques are applicable to all versions of Teamcenter and Active Workspace Deployed with Deployment Center after Teamcenter 12.3 with Active Workspace 4.3. This course is designed to provide an introduction some of the biggest core What's New topics in the Active Workspace interface and Deployment Center. Topics in the course include the new Explorer page in Active Workspace, Creating Projects with Explorer, Enhancements to common commands and table arrangements, updates and new features in Deployment Center, and enhancements to the XRT editor for inject style sheets and navigation. In addition there is a deep dive into differences in the Active Workspace Development Environment for Command line and the Command Builder tools. In the course, attendees get a brief set of demonstrations to introduce the newest enhancements to the Teamcenter 2406 software. Though the course is designed as a preview, many of the topics and techniques will be elaborated on in our full versions of our Installation courses, Using Courses, and Developer courses as they release. This course is designed to provide the tools for migrating Teamcenter Administration Data between 2 Teamcenter sites. Learn how to export, import, and manage key administration data types using the Administration Data Tools utilities and UI's. Explore the support processes for migrating administration data such as Workflow Templates, Stylesheets, Preferences, Queries, Reports, Revision Rules, Access Manager Rules and ACLs, Organizational components and more. In addition to the supported utilities and interfaces, instructors will demonstrate available alternatives to the supported approach. VERSION SUPPORT Teamcenter, Active Workspace versions 2406 all patches. The tools and utilities, though more mature in 2406, are available starting in Teamcenter 11. The utilities and UI available are similar in all versions 11+. RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITES - All Using Essentials courses from the Course Library, or equivalent experience. - It is recommended that students have a rudimentary understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) prior to taking the course. - It is recommended to have an understanding and/or experience deploying enterprise applications, server deployments, and Windows administrative experience prior to attending the course as some general administrative concepts may not be addressed. QUIZ/TEST There is a quiz at the end of the course with a requirement of 70% or higher in order to receive a certificate and mark the course as completed. REPEATED ATTEMPTS Allowed and Recommended at no additional cost with an active Membership including the course in question.
