Install & Configure Indexing for Active Workspace

This course is designed to provide an architectural overview of how the Solr Indexing Engine is used with Active Workspace's Global Search. Attendees of the course will learn how to install the Solr Indexing Engine, the TcFtsIndexer utility, and how to execute indexes. In addition, the course provides a demonstration on Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE) deployment strategies for updating the Teamcenter and Solr schema files. This course is recorded at version Teamcenter 14.2 and Active Workspace 6.2 versions. Most topics are compatible with Teamcenter versions 12.3+, and Active Workspace versions 4.3+, 5+ and 6+. Recommended Prerequisite Course(s) - All Using Essentials related courses - All Installation Essentials related courses (up to this topic). It is recommended that students have a rudimentary understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) prior to taking the course. It is recommended to have an understanding and/or experience deploying enterprise applications, server deployments, and Windows administrative experience prior to attending the course as some general administrative concepts may not be addressed. The course is designed for System Administrators who are responsible for the installation, deployment, and maintenance of a Teamcenter and Active Workspace environment.
