Course Overview
This course is designed to introduce how to customize the Active Workspace Client application using Siemens provided tools in the Client installation directory. In this course, attendees will learn the fundamentals of the Active Workspace Client development environment, how to create customized commands and understand the core components of the command at the source, modify and author new icons, work with calling services, explore building Workspaces to control command and page availability, create custom color based themes to indicate whether you are in Dev or Prod. Learn the ins and outs of Active Workspace Client customization. The instructor will create scenarios and troubleshoot them in the demonstration and perform maintenance activities such as updating an environment with deployments of the code, browse through logs, and ultimately get to the solution, but the videos are recorded in real time to provide you with some of the answers to the obstacles you will encounter along the road. This course is recorded at version Teamcenter 13.*, though most concepts and techniques are applicable to all versions of Teamcenter after Teamcenter 12.* through the latest available. Duration: ~ 14 hours and 20 minutes of video demonstrations. Reference material may add a significant amount of time to this duration. Recommended Prerequisite Course(s) It is recommended that students have Windows administration experience prior to attending. It is highly recommended to have taken all Using Essentials prerequisites prior to attending. The course is designed for Administrators with the intent on learning how to create, manage, and deploy data model changes to Teamcenter using the Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE) administrative tool.
