Course Overview

This course provides in depth training on utilizing the Access Manager location in Active Workspace 6.2+ in the Active Workspace Client (AWC). Learn how Access Rules work in Teamcenter and create Rules, Access Control Lists (ACL) and more. Learn the fundamentals of rule evaluation through practical use cases. Explore the Rich Client Access Manager application to provide training on how to build out permissions in Teamcenter 10+. This course is recorded at version Teamcenter 14.2 and Active Workspace 6.2 versions. The fundamentals on creating rules and ACLs are compatible from Teamcenter 10+, however the Access Manager feature in Active Workspace is only available in version 6.2+. It is recommended that students have a rudimentary understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) prior to taking the course. It is recommended to have knowledge of the following topics prior to taking this course: 1. Using Essentials Courses 2. BMIDE Essentials Courses 3. Admin Essentials Courses (up to this course) The course is designed for all that will modify the Active Workspace Client (AWC) user interface through the use of configuration practices such as Workflows, Preferences, Organization, Tiles, Tables, and Style Sheets. Typically the students in this course have experience with the data model and administer data. Light experience with running windows based command line utilities is a plus.
